Paul Whitrow of the TRamp product line was inspired to create a half-sized KT unit remodeled from the DeAgostini “Build Your Own R2” then went one step further giving her a slightly higher-pitch sound bank to sound more feminine. She has emojis displayed in her eye, dances to music, and projects a wave of good feelings that is infectious!
From Paul:
“I’ve always loved R2-KT, what she stood for and the love she spreads. After doing my first R2 DeAgostini conversion (ripping out their entire electronics system and installing my own to improve its features) I immediately thought I would like to do a mini KT version. I started looking around and found some second hand ones for around £400. Then as luck would have it I stumbled across a post of one seen in a Cash Converters window for £69.99! I had to have this unloved R2 unit so drive several hours to pick him up. It took several weeks to do but eventually it became the mini KT unit you see now. Lots of custom features including the ability to display a child’s name on her eye display (set via phone and Bluetooth), all doors open to reveal sweets, custom pink/white lights, altered all sounds to make her seem more feminine, and much more. My hope is to take her into hospitals as she’s more able to get along side beds in small spaces.
So with huge thanks to Albin Johnson, I present KT-6.”
