The Rancor Hunters Garrison operates in the western region of México within the states of Jalisco, Durango, Chihuahua, Zacatecas, Nayarit, Aguascalientes and Colima.
With the success of KT-5 in Mexico, it became clear it was dangerous, expensive and
impractical for her to travel so far. The presence of a new KT unit was proposed, with Roberto Vilchis, the builder and operator of KT-5, building the new unit. Michael Sanrod organized the operation and is now primary operator and caretaker for KT-18.
